What’s Required To Become A Streamate Model?

• Computer – Streamate  requires that you are running Windows XP or higher with at least 128 MB (Megabytes) of RAM. A faster computer will provide a cleaner stream. We suggest upgrading to an i7 processor with 3 GB (gigabytes) of RAM. To run the Streamate software, you will need to use one of the following web browsers: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 8 (or higher) or FireFox 4 (or higher).
• Webcam – Streamate strongly recommends broadcasting in HD. The best video will be produced by a common camcorder and a capture card (preferably one that is internal). However, a good web camera will work just fine.
• Internet – Streamate softcore can run on any connection speed, but we suggest using a faster connection to increase the quality of your video stream.
• Identification – You’ll need a state-issued ID card or driver’s license, passport, or national identification card showing that you are eighteen years of age (19 in Canada).
• Photos – You’ll need to upload at least one photo when registering.

How Much Do Streamate Models Make?

The earning potential is high, but how much money a model can make is a complicated question. Streamate models earn 35% of the revenue for live camming. Streamate models earn 50% for video sales. The remaining cut goes to the costs of running the network, driving traffic and Streamate’s profit margin. Streamate also offers a bonus for all new members a model can refer. This is a share of all the revenue made off the new customer.

How and When Streamate Models Get Paid

Payouts are made weekly. The minimum payout is $20. If $20 hasn’t been made, the earnings will roll over to the next week. Cashout methods include check (via FedEx or regular mail), wire transfer (US only), or an international payment account from FirstchoicePay and Paxum.

Live Camming Shows

Streamate is primarily a camming site. Therefore, camming is the main focus of the site. Streamate is also a private-based site (as opposed to a token-based site) which means the money is earned via private chat and not public shows. Here’s the different type of paid shows:

• Pay-per-Minute Shows: This is the most common type of show on Streamate. Members will pay for every minute they spend in chat with you based on the prices you set (see Price per Minute for information on setting these prices). These shows can be either Premium or Exclusive(see below).
• Block Sessions: Block sessions are blocks of time that members buy upfront for discounted rates. It’s optional to offer block sessions. Read the Block Sessions section for more information. Block sessions can be either Premium or Exclusive.
• Gold Shows: Gold Shows are group shows where members pay up front to join in. Read the Gold Shows section for more information. Your account has to qualify for Gold Shows before you can offer them.

Premium vs. Exclusive

When members want to start a pay-per-minute show or a block session, they can choose to pay either the premium price or the exclusive price.

• Premium Show: Other members can join premium shows. All members who join will be charged your premium rate per minute. The show will continue until all members have left.
• Exclusive Show: No other members can join exclusive shows. The member pays your exclusive rate per minute. Your exclusive rate will usually be set higher than your premium rate. Exclusive sessions allow members to have your full attention and always be directing the show.
  

Selling Videos

It’s also possible to sell videos on Streamate. In the admin area, there’s an option to upload videos. It’s possible to upload free promo videos, as well as premium videos that Streamate members will have to pay for. Streamate models earn 50% of all revenue generated from clip sales.

Cammodels Referral Income

Once you’ve registered for Streamate, you’ll be assigned a Cammodels link. Cammodels is another website that displays the same models on Streamate.
