How to pay your bills when you can’t cam or film videos
In a perfect world, we’d all be able to plan for taking extended periods off work, with a cushion in our savings account and several weeks’ worth of content stashed away. Unfortunately, health issues and other life events don’t come on a schedule, and when you’re caught in a situation where you can’t work, you still need to keep income coming in. If you’re in a situation where you have no access to your content or the internet, then you’re really in a tight spot, but for the purposes of this article, I’m going to assume you have access to your old content, your accounts, and internet access. So, what do you do when you can’t perform cam shows or shoot new videos, but you’ve still got bills to pay?
Maximize Your Fan Club
Having a successful adult fan club can save your skin when you’re unable to work. Recurring subscription fees will continue to come in as long as you have content to post. Although you can’t create new content, you probably have old content from the pre-fan club days if you’ve been in the industry for any length of time. Ideally you pre-schedule your fan club content a bit in advance, so you have a few days of wiggle room to figure out what you have on hand. Sit down in front of your computer and dig through all of your files, pulling out everything you might be able to repurpose for your fan club to keep that subscriber money coming. Not enough content? If you can, pad it out with some selfies–snap some tit/ass/pussy/dick pics up close and you don’t even have to put makeup on. Once you’ve got content loaded, spend your time promoting your fan club to get new subscribers. Maximize your income from existing subscribers using locked pay-to-view messages.
Repackage and Repurpose Existing Content
Since you can’t create new content, you need to create new versions of your old content to use. Post extended previews of your paid videos on your fan club, or cut together multiple previews into one themed compilation video to post on Pornhub to get ad revenue. Have videos that you uploaded to one clip site but not another? Now is the time to upload that content to all of your video selling sites. If you have several videos in one fetish, sell several of them together as a package deal by either editing them all into one long video or via a system like MV Links.
Promote Old Content
When you can’t create new content, you need to sell more of your old content. Many of your fans and followers won’t have seen all of your back catalogue, so putting your best content from the past in front of them again can stimulate sales. Use a social media scheduling app to load your Twitter feed with GIFs and video previews with links to your old content. Don’t just re-post last month’s videos either–dive into years gone by and pull out your favorite videos as well as the ones that sold well when they were released. Use the mass messaging features on sites like Manyvids and Clips4Sale to feature videos available to purchase. If you have your own website, write some blog posts featuring specific fetishes or spotlighting videos that you’ve put on sale. Running a sale can help you sell more content in a shorter period of time, but be careful that it doesn’t turn into a fire sale where you mark down your content to bargain-basement prices, moving a high number of units, but not netting the income you need.
Phone Sex and Sexting
These options won’t be available to everyone, but if you can’t cam or film clips, you might still be able to do phone sex or sexting. Sites like Niteflirt and TalkToMe have traffic on their platform and are easy to get started on.
