Producing The Audio Files On A Budget

Katy shares her methods of recording audio files on a budget and the cheapest setup available for models who want to get started. If you already have a mobile phone, then you’ve already got the most expensive piece required. The rest can be acquired insanely cheap, and you might have everything you need

Using Smart Phone Apps To Record

If you’ve got a smart phone, there will be a voice recording app on it. This can work just fine for recording audio files. The exact name of the mobile app will vary based on smart phone, but every phone comes stock with one. There’s also plenty of options in the app stores, if you are looking for something different.

Headphones With Microphone

You can find cheap headphones with built in microphones all over the place. Katy found a pair for $7 at her Local Walmart. This is by far the most affordable way to start recording audio files to sell. Simply plug the headset into the phone and start recording. The audio quality of the headset is much superior to that of the phone’s built-in microphone.

Using A Blanket To Improve Audio Quality

One way to improve the sound quality is to cover your head with blankets. This  is especially true if you’re trying to to record the audio in a large, empty room, or a room with hardwood floors. Using the blanket system can help reduce the echo and reverb within the room. Katy personally does this in her bed, but it could work on a couch or anywhere else where you can comfortably place a blanket over your head and record the audio files.

Recording With USB Headsets / Computer

Another easy way to record audio files is through a USB headset and your computer. There’s tons of headsets out there and there’s some pretty affordable ones. It’s basic and it works. Katy uses Audacity for audio editing. Audacity is a free and open-source audio editing tool available for Windows, Mac and Linux. You can record directly into the Audacity app.

Katy Demonstrates The Setup

In the video, Katy demonstrates the smart phone and cheap Walmart setup, both with the blanket and without the blanket. You can see the noticeable difference the blanket makes. You can also see the quality of the audio recording with the most basic and inexpensive setup. Katy also demonstrates the USB headset recorded using Audacity.

Don’t Use Webcam Microphones!

If you’ve got a webcam, you might think that it would be a good way to produce audio files. Do not do this! The quality won’t compare to what you could produce with around $7 and going to Walmart to acquire the headset for the setup mentioned above! That will produce way better quality than a laptop webcam or a Logitch webcam.

Phone Sex Sites

Some phone sex sites will allow you to phone in and produce a recorded listing. Phone sex site members are able to call in and listen to your recorded listings, which makes the PSO money. Recorded listings are charged by the minute. If you are going to do recorded messages, it’s recommended to produce and edit it and use something other than your built-in phone microphone. Audacity works great for this and you can even cut and splice audio files if you make a mistake or don’t quite like the way one part sounds.

Selling Audio Files On Adult Clip Sites

Some clip sites allow models to upload and sell audio files and a couple even have categories dedicated to them! iWantClips, Clips4Sale and ManyVids all have categories dedicated specifically for audio files. You can put your audio files into the audio category, or the categories geared towards the fetishes you’re catering to. If you put them into those categories, make sure that it’s crystal clear that this is audio only!
