What are the requirements to get started as a YourVids creator?
To get started on YourVids, you’ll need a government issued photo ID. You’ll complete standard ID verification through a third party service that keeps your information completely safe and secure. You’ll be prompted to take photos of the front and back of your government issued photo ID as well as provide a live selfie to verify that your ID is actually you! Verification will take about 5 minutes and will be easiest to complete via mobile phone with a high quality camera but you can complete the process with desktop/webcam as well. Once you complete your ID verification, you’ll be ready to create your profile on YourVids.
Creating your profile on YourVids
You’ll want to put some thought into creating your profile on YourVids to ensure you’re making the most of the internal traffic that will be on the platform. If you scroll to the bottom of the options on the left side of your creator dashboard, you’ll find your “Edit Profile” button where you can set your profile photo, profile video, header video, and image gallery that will be viewable on your profile. You can alternatively utilize a header image over a video if you’d prefer! There are tabs available in this section where you can also go to “Profile Details” and set important information like the type of content you create which allows you to select any/all options including: straight, gay male, lesbian, bi-male, and trans. Payment structure on YourVids
Models will keep 100% of the price that they set for their content, with customers paying an additional fee at check out to cover the website operation costs which include things like payment processing, video hosting, staff, etc. If you set your video price to $10, you will earn $10 on the sale. The price the customer will pay varies, which I will explain below:
- Video fee: 6% processing fee + $1.50 on videos under $8, or $2.50 on videos over $8.
- Boutique fee: 6% processing fee + $1.50 on items $8 or under, $2.50 on items over $8.
- Custom Video, Photo, or Audio: 6% processing fee + $5 flat fee on any amount.
- Tips: 6% processing fee + 10% of the tip amount. (For example: $10 tip for a model would cost the customer $11.60)
- Messaging: 6% processing fee + 10% of the message price UNLESS it is a video attachment, which will incur a $1.50 service fee instead.
- Contest votes: 6% processing fee + 10% of the vote price.
The 6% processing fee can be avoided by spending from your wallet with urTokens instead of straight from your card. Customers will pay a 6% processing fee on every transaction, so if they load their wallet with urTokens one time, they only pay that 6% fee one time.
Premium fan memberships: There will also be premium memberships available to fans that range from $69.99-$99.99, this will remove the site fee from purchases and only leave the 6% processing fee. The premium membership will also serve as a place for performers to market to “higher spending” members and allow the members to have some more “stand out” options on the site.
