Wireless Mouse and Keyboard: When you’re camming, a lot of times you’ll be in a position where you can’t sit right in front of the computer. It’s handy to have a wireless mouse and keyboard so that you can still type and click if you need to, without having to change your position or stop the show.

Adjustable Stand Lights: 3 adjustable stand lights is what you’ll need to create a 3-point lighting setup. You’ll want a cover (or umbrella) to help filter out the harsh light and hot heat. A simple CFL bulb from a hardware store will work fine.

3-Point Lighting Setup For Best Quality Camming

When setting up a 3-point lighting system, you’ll want two lights on either side of you and one light in front of you. You never want to backlight the camming area, as the light will be shining directly into the camera. Having the three light sources will help saturate the area with light.

There are Warm Lights and Cold Lights. Warm lights have a yellow tint to it and cold lights have a more blueish. You can change the atmosphere of your camming area and cam show simply by changing up what kind of light is used.

If you don’t have 3 light stands, you can still light the camming area by positioning two lights to either side. You can also light a camming area with a single light by positioning it behind the webcam. Sometimes natural light will be adaquate and now additional lighting setup is required.
