ExtraLunchMoney Review By Holly Rydem – Average Score: 7.7

Holly Rydem AKA DirtyLittleHolly gave ExtraLunchMoney an average rating of 7.7/10. The score would have been much higher if privacy didn’t get scored a 5/10. That is due to the fact that ExtraLunchMoney doesn’t have the regional blocking capabilities that a lot of other sites have. Holly finds ExtraLunchMoney to be the most profitable site for custom content requests. Here’s what Holly Rydem has to say about ExtraLunchMoney.

Hey there! My name’s dirtylittleholly. I’ve been a cam girl for almost 4 years now on Streamate and I run my own amateur, adult website. I handle every aspect of my website and career completely on my own. I shoot all of my own content, do all my own edits, run all my own social media accounts, etc. So you always know you’re getting the real me!

How Long Have You Been On ExtraLunchMoney?

I’ve been on ELM since early 2013.

Profitability: 8/10

I’ve made a decent amount of money on ELM over the years. If you’re looking to quit your day job and make all of your money on the site, that isn’t going to happen. But for extra income, it’s fantastic! As long as you don’t accept any outside payments, you can sell pretty much anything on the site: Skype shows, panties, used toys, autographed pics, custom pics/vids, premade content, your phone number, Snapchat, Kik, etc.

The site uses credits as their form of payment. When you first start out on ELM, you get to keep 60% of the credits you earn, which makes 1 credit worth $0.60. That goes up to 65% once you reach Seller Plus status, making 1 credit worth $0.65. You achieve higher seller status by selling stuff on the site and having the buyer give you a positive review.

Buyers can, and usually will, choose to use the escrow system that ELM has. This definitely helps with sales because it puts the buyer at ease. It ensures that both you and the buyer are satisfied with the product before completion.

Site Features and Functionality: 9/10

Site features are spot on! My favorite section is the Requests page. Buyers who are looking for something specific will post their request, along with how many credits they’re offering. If you’re interested in doing their request, you click the “I can do it” button. That notifies the buyer that you’re interested in fulfilling their request. If they decide they want you to do it, they will message you.

Another great feature is the anonymous texting service. You connect your phone number through ELM, and they mask it for you so that your number remains anonymous. You can set your own price for how many credits buyers pay for each text message they send you. You’re also able to send pictures through this service. This is available for USA/Canada cell phones only.

There is also a Sales tab on the homepage. Whenever you offer a discount on anything you’re selling, it’ll be listed on the Sales page. This is a good way to get buyers to notice you, and a good way to make sales on older content that may not sell very often anymore. When you put something on sale, you can choose to offer an unlimited amount of it at the discounted price, or a select few. Another way you can use this page to your advantage is by making teasers videos or picsets, listing them at 1 credit, and then putting them on sale for 100% off. You won’t earn any revenue from that sale, but it’ll get buyers to notice you. You can also ask anyone who gets your teasers to leave you a positive review, which increases your seller status.

When you list photos, videos, or cam shows for sale, they post to the appropriate tab on the homepage. Buyers can then use filters on those pages to search through everything that’s been posted to that category. This makes it easy for buyers to browse and find you if you’re selling what they’re looking for… so be sure to appropriately tag all of your content.

Payment Types, Chargebacks and Cashouts: 10/10

Sellers are paid out once a week on Wednesdays. Payout amounts are based on the sales that happened not in the current week, but the week before. They offer a mailed check, Paxum, ACH/bank transfer, and Wire transfer. With Paxum, the funds are transferred right away. With a check, it usually takes 5-10 days to arrive at your mailbox. ACH/bank transfer takes 2-5 days. And a wire transfer takes 1-2 days. Check payments and ACH/bank transfers cost 5 credits each payment which is automatically deducted from your balance. If you are in the the US the cost for each wire transfer is 20 credits. If you are international the cost is 40 credits. There is no cost for sellers to receive payments via Paxum.

I have never had an issue with receiving a payment, and never had an chargebacks. If you’re using the escrow system, and you deliver the product, but the buyer does not approve the escrow in an appropriate amount of time, you have the ability to automatically approve it yourself. This is a last resort method… you should try contacting the buyer before doing it. But if need-be, it’s there.

Site Traffic and Quality: 9/10

As with any site, there are some freeloaders and buyers who are just plain cheap. But there are also plenty of buyers on ELM who are willing to pay appropriate amounts for quality service. Just by browsing the Requests page for a few minutes every day and responding to my messages, I get enough custom requests to take an entire day off of cam and dedicate to just shooting customs.

When browsing the Requests page, I’ll often say that I can do a request even if they aren’t offering the amount of credits I’d like to receive for that job. Then after accepting it, I’ll shoot them a quick message asking if the credits are negotiable. I’ll sometimes get turned down, but a lot of guys are willing to up the credit amount if you’re who they’re looking for to do the job!

Promotional and Marketing Tools: 8/10

You can connect your Twitter account to ELM and have it send out an automated tweet whenever you list a new product for sale. Aside from that, they also post it on their own Twitter account, which goes out to about 7,000 followers. If you cam on Myfreecams, and list your MFC profile URL on the link section of your ELM profile, they’ll list you on their Live Camming page. They also make it really easy for you to see everything you currently have for sale, and shoot out a quick tweet to let your Twitter followers know what you’re selling. You can do this on your Seller page. It’s a good thing to do occasionally, especially with older content that your newer Twitter followers may not know is available. They also have seller widgets and embed codes that you can use on your website, Tumblr, blog, etc if you choose to.

Site Usability (How Easy To Use The Site Is): 8/10

As far as usability is concerned, the site definitely takes some time to get used to. There’s a lot of different things to take in, so you’ll need to spend a bit of time browsing around before figuring out where everything is. But once you get the hang of it, you’ll be fine. The main sections to explore are the ones under the Seller tab. There’s so much important information to take in under that tab, and it can be very useful once you figure out what you’re looking at.

Privacy Protection and Regional Blocking: 5/10

Keeping your real name, address, phone number, etc confidential is great on their end. But as far as I know, there is no regional blocking on the site. That means that you cannot block buyers from a certain country from viewing your profile. Anyone with access to the website, will be able to view your profile. You are able to block specific users if they are being rude or abusing you.

Customer Services and Support: 10/10

I only had to contact support a couple times, but they have always answered my questions and responded in a timely manner.

Model Guides and Resources: 10/10

ELM has a wiki page where you can find information about the site and how it works. There is also a discussion page for sellers. You can go on there and just chat with other sellers, or post any questions that you have about the site. In most cases, another model will get back to you within a reasonable amount of time.

Holly Rydem’s Review:

Overall, I have found ELM to be one of the most profitable sites for selling custom content. I have met a lot of nice buyers on their, and many have been return customers. Everything about the site is easy, and is setup to make both the seller and buyer feel comfortable. If you aren’t already on there, you definitely should be! Just create a quick profile, browse the requests page, and wait for the messages to come flying in! I think you’ll end up liking it as much as I do!
