How Camgirl Katy Churchill Does Her Photo Shoots

Camgirl, clip producer and Webcam Startup contributor Katy Churchill demonstrates how she does her own photo shoots using a tripod, a smart phone and free editing software that comes stock on Windows computers. Here is Katy Churchill’s DIY photo shoot guide for cam models. Best of all, in this process, only one person is required! You don’t need anyone to take photos of you.

What’s Required:

  • Smartphone
  • Tripod
  • Bluetooth Remote
  • Lots of Outfits

Shoot Tons Of Photos (Only Setup Once)

It’s advised to shoot tons of different photos all at once. This includes photos in a variety of different outfits. The reasoning behind this, is that you only need to setup once. This saves you a lot of time in the long run.

Setting Up The Shot

I personally use a blank white wall, with regular camming lights setup against that wall. This makes everything very easy to edit, and no matter what you’re wearing, it stands out against the white background. If you don’t have a blank white wall to use as a backdrop, don’t worry too much about it. Some models might already have back drops that they use for camming or clips.

Using Front-Facing Camera (Shooting With A Phone)

I actually use the front facing camera on my phone, when I’m filming. This way I can see where I am, in relationship to posing. If you feel a little awkward, try turning on a little music to make things a little more fluid and natural. Whatever you need to do to get comfortable. Also make sure to take lots and lots of photos. Way more than you need.

Editing With Free Windows Software

When it comes to editing, I use free Windows software called Photos. What I do when I edit is crop and sometimes rotate, if the tripod is a little bit crooked. I also do something called Enhance, which is just a standard setting that sharpens the image, upping the contrast and upping the saturation. I also crop most of my pictures, and there’s a built-in tool that uses the rule of threes. The software also allows you to airbrush things out of the photos.
