The Male’s Perspective: First Time On Cam By Blake

Black and Aerie

What It’s Like Becoming A Camboy

I’m Blake, I’m 20 years old and just recently got into camming. It started when the girl I was talking to, soon to be girlfriend, told me she was a cam girl. I was curious and asked about the process and work that goes into it, but instead of telling me she asked if I would rather experience it first-hand. The first time, though exciting, was extremely nerve wracking for me.

The First Streamate Gold Show

We started slow using Streamate, she told me about gold shows and tips, then we gradually went into all that goes into talking to customers. It was all building up to my first gold show with my girlfriend. We were at her house and got online late that night after a long day of doing nothing, so I was as relaxed as I could be.

Most guys who started watching us were obviously on there for her and not for me, but I won them over with my humor. We reached our goal fairly quickly and it was apparent once the gold show started that I was a dick attached to someone completely irrelevant, which honestly I didn’t mind since it took the pressure off of me.

The show was pretty uneventful and after it was over I felt relieved that my cam show cherry was finally popped. You do pick up on a few things even after your first show; there are nice, friendly customers, and then there are negative, almost spiteful customers. How you deal with the latter defines what kind of night you will have on cam.

Dealing With Negative Customers / Comments

People will say mean things to you, but responding with anything other than something positive or just blocking them will lead to unwanted drama. Don’t let these comments get to you. They’re the ones on here coming to you, you don’t owe them anything, you control your room.

This doesn’t mean all you will run into are “negative” customers. There are many supportive, incredibly nice people in the camming community. Whether it’s a customer who comes in your room and tips you unusually high amounts, or other cam girls/guys who offer their advice. Other avenues are available if camming is too personal.

Males / Couples Can Also Make Money Producing Clips

Videography is always an option, I’ve made a few videos with my girlfriend and it’s a fantastic way to provide content without the fear of judgement. No matter what anyone says, we all strive for acceptance and if you’re doing your job and nobody is contributing it gets to you.

That’s why videos are a great way to combat that. A customer is asking for something specific so there’s no way to mess it up. You get your name out there even more and can provide content for people who want it. It’s also a way to show off your ingenuity.

I have a few videos out with my girlfriend Aerie, most of which are themed so it’s truly an outlet for your creative side. My favorite video we have made was a Christmas video. It was simple, me in a Christmas hat and her looking like an elf as well as a POV blowjob, but the way we executed it made it the best one so far.

For those wanting to make videos the best advice I can give is to shop around online and look at others content. You can get a feel for what’s popular as well as starting to form your own style. No matter what you choose, stay confident because your attitude decides whether you’re successful or whether you tread water.
